Intentionally and slightly accidentally imperfect rustic set

I made a slab-built dish set for my mother... my first real customer (she paid me in full to support me). But now I'm second-guessing the glaze. I was just about to hand it over today when I visited her in her office but I'm not confident anymore. I roughed it up intentionally to make it feel rustic, but it looks a little amateur. Be honest: would you pay for a set this imperfect, or should I go back and remake it with more control?

It's completely understandable to feel that way about a piece for your mom, especially when you say she's your first paying customer!
I think rustic can be very subjective in pottery.
Like what one person sees as charmingly handmade, another might see as unrefined.
Before you consider remaking the entire set, maybe take a little time away from it so you can see it with fresh eye?
Or perhaps get a second opinion from someone whose artistic judgment you trust?
Sometimes, just a slight shift in perspective can make all the difference.
Remember, there's a good chance your mom will appreciate them simply because you created them!

You know, Id totally pay for something that feels and looks unique. Bet your mom will love it even more. You could always make a more refined set later if you want to try a different style
