DIY mosaic art for beginner

I want to add some mosaic art to my backyard. This is the first time I've done this.
I want to do it myself. I need advice from experienced ppl here about mosaic art

What tools do I need to do all the work myself?
What clay do you guys use for this, and where can I get it?

Tile nippers, glass cutter, adhesives (like thinset), grout, and safety gear ofc. Use porcelain, glass, or high fired stoneware clay for durability. Materials are typically available at art stores, tile shops, or online like Amazon and eBay
